Orange NSW · Opening soon
Dr Peter Thompson and Dr Danny Demosthenous have spent the last few years restoring the building on the corner of Prince and Anson. The fit out is in its final stages. Before the doors open, we are looking for an exceptional team.
The building
For most of its life the building on the corner of Prince and Anson was the Orange Ambulance Station. Three arched openings on the ground floor, brick above, and a great deal of local history through the doors.
It has taken years to bring back. The original brickwork, the arches and the timber windows have been restored. Everything a modern practice needs has been built in behind them.
The result is not a shopfront clinic. It is a building with a past, in the middle of Orange, fitted out properly.
Who you would be working with
Pete and Danny own Prince Anson Dental and will both be working in it, with over 20 years combined experience within the Central West. Everything else, from the front desk to the chair, is what we are hiring now.
Dr Peter Thompson grew up in Orange and completed his dental degree at Charles Sturt University in 2015. Dr Thompson enjoys the diversity that family practice brings. He takes the time to make his patients comfortable, while he carefully considers all aspects of their oral health. He has particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and is accredited with the Australian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics.
Dr Thompson has also helped the disadvantaged children in Cambodia through dental volunteering and has spent time with the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Outside of dentistry you will find him playing tennis, at the gym or local rugby or enjoying one of Orange’s many great wineries and restaurants.
Dr Danny Demosthenous has degrees in Science and Dentistry from the University of Sydney. While he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, he focuses on wisdom teeth removal and implant surgery. Dr Demosthenous has a graduate diploma in Oral Surgery from the University of Sydney.
Dr Demosthenous has been involved in a number of dental volunteering trips to Cambodia, Ecuador, the Republic of Congo and the Philippines. In his spare time he loves travelling, and enjoying the company of friends and family.
Open roles
A new practice is a rare thing to walk into. No habits to unlearn, no systems inherited from someone else, and a say in how it all runs from the first day. If that sounds like you, send something through.
Running the place day to day. Rosters, systems, suppliers, the front desk and the standard everything is held to. This one shapes the practice more than any other hire.
First voice on the phone and first face at the door. Bookings, accounts, recalls and keeping the day moving.
Chairside with Pete and Danny. Experienced assistants and people earlier in their career are both welcome to apply.
We would like an OHT in the practice from the beginning rather than added later, so this role is open now.
We are open to clinicians joining us. If you have been thinking about a move to Orange, it is worth a conversation.
Not on the list, or not sure which one you are? Send your CV to reception@princeansondental.com.au and tell us what you do. We read everything that comes in.
We are not putting a date on the door yet. The build is in its final stages and there are approvals still to come before we can commit to anything publicly.
We would rather start talking to good people now and be straight with you about timing once you have applied, than rush a hire to hit a date. Apply whenever you are ready. We will keep you posted as things firm up.
Apply
Fill this in and it goes straight to the practice. A CV helps, but if you do not have one handy, tell us what you have done and we will take it from there.
It has gone straight to the practice and we will come back to you. If you want to add anything, email reception@princeansondental.com.au.
